Default P1319 and P0304

I just got these codes tonight. She's been running awesome and it just started running rough. It has sat quite a bit this year, so I am going to try the seafoam induction. The coils, plugs and wires are all relatively new.

If anybody has other suggestions I would love to hear it.

seafoam it and then run it hard.

hard accelerations and some high revs. hopefully, all it needs is to have the cobwebs* cleaned out.

*metaphorical cobwebs

Same idea, but there is a CCR intake cleaner that has worked much better for me. plus it is aerosol, making it easier to apply with out extra hoses, etc.

I tested for spark at the #4 Cylinder which is second from the front on passenger side, and there is spark.

Just seafoamed the intake and there is seafoam in the tank. Will drive around to clear it out. Then clear codes. It was certainly smoking. People love that!

If the code comes back after that I will have to get a spark plugs to test that, and a compression testing tool.

If it fails the compression test I may be buying a new car.

Just got back after driving around, and letting her run. Getting multiple misfires, and the 1319 is still there.

I will have to swap a couple of spark plugs tomorrow, see what happens then test compression if no change.

@Extinct here is a pic of my Cometic head gasket. Does yours look like this?

Here is a pic of my spark plugs, had a lot of carbon on it, it is an NGK Iridium cleaned it off with brake kleen and will reinstall then fire up and see if it makes a difference.

I have never used the Cometics, but they all stick out a little.

My fault, I thought you were the poster who turned me on to them. I will have to revisit my messages. Thanks for the thought though.

After cleaning the spark plug still getting the P0304 code.

I put my inline spark tester on the 2nd Cylinder plug and wire and it lights up like a Christmas tree. The signal to the 4th cylinder is very fain in comparison.

The current coilpacks are Standard Motor products and have 28,000 miles on them over four years.

The wires are Kingsborne 8mm with the same mileage. Plugs are NGK Iridium with the same amount of mileage.

if it is the coil that is bad then you should be getting weak spark on cylinder 7, as well. 4 and 7 are paired on the coils.

my issue with misfires turned out to be a failing alternator. you might check alternator and battery output.

Edit: have you tried switching lead wires to see if the misfire follows the wire?
