my issue with misfires turned out to be a failing alternator. you might check alternator and battery output.

Edit: have you tried switching lead wires to see if the misfire follows the wire?
If I could get to the coilpack easily I would, but do not think I will be able to pull that off. I could try.

Not sure really what to make of it, but the signal is significantly lower at the 4th cylinder. The connections all look good on visual inspection. I am going to try and get the lead off for cylinder four and test it.

have you tested lead 7 to see if the spark is weak?

It's .44. I thought that too.

The spark is weak, and I could be wrong, but a weak plug shouldn't affect the signal before the plug.

I just ordered Coilpacks, and an upper intake filter got Fel-pro at 8.46 on closeout.

I will check spark on #7 this week, too.

FWIW, .38 to .41 is spec. I'd give .38 a shot

I got the Coilpacks out and have tested all of the wires. The #4 Plug wire is good testing at 1,000, but #8 was at 600 and some of them are pretty beat up. I am going to get new wires as long as I here. They will likely work for a while, but as long as I have the upper intake off I want to just get ahead of it.

Going to order a new lower intake to Throttle Body heater hose. It got damaged during removal, aside from that easy.

I Installed the new Bosch Coilpacks and new Wires. The Bosch Coilpacks are thinner, and much easier to get in and out. The Standard Motor Products coils were thicker and heavier, and harder to deal with. So, go Bosch.

I am still getting the P0304 and P1319. In retrospect, I likely should have stuck in a new injector while I was at it. I swapped the Spark Plug from Cylinder 4 to Cylinder 2 and it the code did not follow.

I am going to call my mechanic Monday and schedule a Compression test and go from there. If it passed I will get a new injector. If not, I have to decide if I want to keep it, or salvage the parts I want and save up to buy a project in the future. I have no where to keep aside form outside. and don't want to just surrender is to the critters.

Hello all, new to this site, sorry for long read but I need help. I have a 2010 range rover sport hse with about 156000kms. This morning, I was on a really bumpy ramp onto the highway. When it came time to switch lanes, I got the "restricted performance" code along with a serious drop in power. I could barely maintain highway speed. Car seems to run fine while at high speed, just not a lot of power. When I exited the highway, the engine was running rough at lower speed and while waiting at a red light the whole car was shaking and idling rough. Tried turning it off and back on, no change. Upon pulling into a parking spot at low speed, the car shut off on me. Put into park and restarted, was able to park but engine still running rough and feels like it wants to choke out. I hooked my scanner up and it is saying misfire in all cylinders, misfire detected on start-up and pressure line solenoid line 5 fault short circuit. Yesterday I filled up with mid fuel instead of premium, but that's the only change I've made. Tried unplugging battery and reconnecting and also added some octane booster to try and counter the mid fuel grade. Unplugged air flow sensors and plugged back in. Still no improvement. I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem and knows the fix? Thanks.
