P1666 and 2002 Disco II will not start, help....
P1666 Anti-Theft Alarm serial link faultDrive cycle A:Signal implausible

This is the definition of the code on my craftsman scanner.
I have a 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series II SD, V8.
This all occured after illinois got hit with heavy snow. First, I get a fault code for cylinder 7 misfire. I added dielectric grease and reset the code and has never returned. I drive the next day fine. I Drive today and after returning from the grocery store these codes appear and the car WILL NOT START. It finally starts and I drive home, then I test the starting of the engine in my parking spot and it will not start. It cranks and then loses all power in the revolutions per second and then dies.
I have work tomorrow and this is my only car. Please help! Advice.

Today:
Land rover dealership would not work on the auto b.c. and after market security system. Waited 4 hours to tow to a mechanic that I have yet to see fail, have taken all cars to for years. He gave no guarantee but said he would do everything possible.
He will try taking out the security system.
The code is denoting that signal is not sending to an immobilizer by the security system so some wire or other is bad. I don't know if taking out the security system will fix the problem.
I am now renting a car. :/
Anyone know anything about this, will removing work b.c. that is what the mech. will attempt. He gave no guarantee -- ...........................
