Default Paint for Brush guard

Hi
Before i put some Hella's on it I'm Gonna sandblast my full size brushguard tomorrow. Then bondo some of it to fill out the rust pits.
I'm wondering if there is a better product to finish this with other than oil paint. I'm thinking some king of rubberized product.
Any thoughts ?.
Thanks
Micko

I used DupiColor Ceramic Engine Paint. It worked absolutely beautifully. I didn't even sandblasted, I just scuffed the whole thing with 400 grit, rustoleum rust primer, then paint.

I did mine a couple of years ago and I just used a can of Rustolium black satin spray paint. It's holding up well.

I used tremclad, been a couple years. No issues. Admittedly I haven't banged it around much.
Cheap and plentiful.

My guard has the standard rust in all the usual places, but my problem is a certain driver likes to try to park too close and has put a lot of scrapes in my other cars , mostly from the rust on the guard. Been thinking about getting some of the foam insulation used on water pipes to wrap around the guard. that should keep from scratching the paint on my other vehicles, and might look cool (??) I figure on using a few ty-raps to hold it on place.

Any thoughts?
