Default Park lock solenoid

I am looking to remove the stupid thing after I got all medieval on the console when the shift cable broke. I accidentally destroyed the little plug that goes into the solenoid. For now.. until I can get a plug and splice it in.. I want it out as I am tired of looking at this every day...

I ask because I cannot figure out how to remove it. Can't Find it in the manual either.. thanks in advance.

That's a good idea. I'll wait for warmer weather to attempt that. Thanks jfall

As a form of preventative maintenance, I pulled that solenoid out a year ago and never looked back.

I wouldn't worry about it.
