Passenger Door Lock Not Working
My passenger side door lock doesn't respond to the remote or the central switch anymore. I can pull the lock tab up to unlock or pull the inside door handle to unlock. What it looks like is that the mechanicals are intact - is it the door actuator that needs to be replaced? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your input. Normally I wouldn't mind doing some troubleshooting first but since I'll be out of the country next week for the holidays I am really pressed for time.
How do I determine if it's an electrical problem once I have the door panel off?

Well you can use a test light to check for power, press the lock button while checking and look for changes. Mine just failed on driver door worked on the way to the gas station and did not work when i went to re-enter they just fail and you replace it. That's a rover for you.
It is definetly your door latch, they are not to hard to change, however they do require a little patience. 2 hours on a nice Saturday afternoon and you should have it done. Here is what I followed to change all of mine...which was really bad the only way I could get in my d2 was the driver side door with the key and then reaching over to unlock them.

Testing the electrical plug that goes into the latch is a good idea however at that point you have taken half of your door apart you may as well finish the job. The door latch aka door acuator is not unlocking or locking because it is bad. The electrical signal is sent to it, it just doesn't work or actuate. Bad door latch that needs replaced.

Does anyone happen to know if this is the right part?
