I grabbed it with some locking pliers and wiggled/twisted until it came out. Be careful not to mangle it too much but it'll come out with some wiggling. It's just friction fit in there. You can try some heat to help as well if its being really stubborn.

You can pull the whole metal tube out and then drill out the plastic pcv. You'll want to replace with something like an FV308 (there's a diy by best in the sticky)

Will the tube go back in if I pull it out?

Yea as long as you don't mangle it too badly. I did the same with mine because 03/04 trucks need the tube to be drilled out to get the correct flow with pcv mod. Look for the thread and it'll have photos and instructions to get it back in.

You can also try driving a drywall screw into it and then using that to pull it out.

Ended up just pulling the tube out, came out pretty easy. I bought another plastic thing to put in there but realized with the pcv mod already done don't need it.

For others having difficulty getting the PVC out, use inexpensive hose pliers from Harbor Freight. They have little round tips to hold the hoses without squeezing the too tight, but tight enough to manipulate. I was having trouble removing the PCV, and got it out in seconds with the hose plier.
