PCV Sleeve in Valve Question
I recently performed the PCV mod due to a broken nipple on the intake side; I replaced the OEM nipple with a FV308 PCV and then proceeded to work on the valve cover side.
I dinged up the sleeve on the hose a bit getting it out, but eventually managed to drill out the baffle in the sleeve as well as enlarge the hole in the sleeve (this is on an '04 D2).
My only concern is whether or not there is some detent/lip on the valve side that prevents installing the sleeve *too far* into the valve cover. I could see inside there cover has some internal baffle, but I didn't really check any more closely. My concern is that I may have "overtapped" the sleeve such that it's de facto blocking flow because of this internal baffle in the valve cover.
The car is running smoothly (more smoothly than when the nipple was cracked), however, I'm worried that I may have now created a positive pressure situation if I tapped the sleeve too far. I can take things apart but I wanted to check if anyone has a valve cover with the sleeve removed (or photos) in order to double check that there is some stop preventing the sleeve from going too far.

Thanks for confirming that, what a relief. Now hopefully the codes disappear.
For folks considering a replacement sleeve, the 1/2" OD steel ones I bought were a hair too large and too rigid due to wall thickness (even after freezing) to act as a replacement (I suspect 12mm would have been too small -- but maybe someone has had luck with that).
I was going to move onto aluminum, but I was ultimately able to salvage my original one with some careful reshaping.
