So I have been driving the truck around the past two days and the coolant level has gone down a bit (I have added about a quart). I still have a little bit of a waterfall sound behind the dash. Is this normal? Will it go away in a few days?
Thanks.

Should go away eventually as coolant is added. To quicken process you might pull top hose off of manifold exit pipe and top off there. Loosen first, if no coolant coming out there's air. Only do it fully cooled as in the morning after setting all night.
......

I tried to pull of the manifold hose just a bit and some coolant leaked out of it so I think the system has almost lost all its air. I will continue to add coolant until all the air is gone. Thank you everyone.

Air is trapped inside heater core, & since it sits higher than any point in engine it will be hard for it to escape,, try parking it one night when engine is fully hot on a steep incline (nose up), front tires being at least a foot higher than back tires & let it cool of till morning, that will direct the air into engine as it cools of, if don't have a steep incline use a curb if possible or if can't, jack up front & put something under front tires, I have used this method & it works every time

Looks like for once my luck is beginning to turn. My driveway has a steep slope! So I guess that will help it bleed out the air too.

I have my back wheels at the street level and the front sits up enough for me to bleed without lifting my reservoir. Just don't do it when it is running or hot(you may know this already, just saying)

I also left the heat on when I turned off the truck so that the heater valve is open. I hope that this would help the air get out. I just have to remember now to turn the heater off before I start the motor.

Actually there is no heater valve on these, although there have been some who have installed one or have contemplated it. Some vehicles do have a valve that shuts off the coolant to the heater core, but not these. Just FYI

Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know that Discos do not have heater valves. I guess that's good (less parts= less to fix).
