You missed the point. In no way am I seeking defense or praise. I'm simply sharing an experience. That's it.
I was completely willing to negotiate a fair deal for both parties, but was never offered the opportunity. If anyone knows the values of these trucks or their parts, its me.

That's why he wanted to text. He would probably never call you "**** face" on the phone. I don't see anywhere in the ad where it says "No low ball offers" so I see nothing wrong with a $400 offer. If he were to say "$900, nothing less, I can get $900 at the crusher", then I'd text him "better take it to the crusher"
I listed a car for sale on C-list years ago and said "NO TRADES" about 5 times in the ad. I get an email from someone and it says "Look, I know you said no trades but would you consider an X-box, a mountain bike, and a puppy?" Seriously?? I didn't even bother responding.
Saw an ad for a 2001 Discovery. It said "makes a ticking noise when warmed up. Probably needs valves adjusted." Some people must think most of us were born yesterday...
