How did you reset the ECU?

 

Must be similar to reseting codes.

 

With a Nanocom you can reset the ECU in the Utility area.

Going to check and test between the sensor and the ECU today.

 

Checked the voltage from ECU to O2 sensor and it's good. Which now leads me to maybe a faulty ECU.

 

Could be a short somewhere. Have you tried to ohm the ecu and the connector? Elictrical problems are always a pia to track down

 

Swapped out the ECU and now the code is gone and the O2 sensor is operating normally.

However, with this ECU in it won't idle, just dies if I take my foot off. Other than that it revs great.

I'll put back the other ECU and see what happens.

 

Put the original ECU (Non SAI) in and idles but the P0134 code came back straight away.

Put the other ECU in (with SAI) and the code is gone and it's now idling ok!

Took it for a drive for about 20 miles and it drove very well. Checked for codes and there were loads relating to the SAI but no P0134.

Problem solved; thanks for everybody's help.

Hello, there is a lot of time since last post... but I would like to know, about the ECM swap, It's a plug and play or is necessary to program or synchronize something into the new ECM? Or just clear the adaptations?

 

Pretty close to plug and play, but you need the matching BCU as well. The odometer will flash unless you use the matched IC or turn the flashing off with a nanocom. Need to turn the key on and let it sit about 20 mins to sync the ECM/BCU and inside fusebox before it will start.

 

I knew that the odometer flashes when you change the BCU, but I didn't expect that it will be necessary with te ECM...I was hoping that it will be more like an ACE ECU replacement...

I was asking this because suddenly got this codes in my Disc 2 V8 2004 The first time when I got this codes was after pass over a bump, after that I cleared codes with a hawkeye an checked that all O2 sensors were working propertly for about two months but, this week the faults became in a check engine light.

P0134 fault 10 pre-catalyst signal missing. fault
P0154 fault 18 O2 probe pre-catalyst bank 2 signal missing. Fault present and intermittent
P0135 fault 13 O2 probe heating before catalytic converter minimum value not reached. Fault present and static
P0155 fault 5 O2 probe heating before catalytic converter bank 2 minimum value not reached. Fault present and static
P0141 fault 14 O2 probe heating behind catalytic converter minimum value not reached. Fault present and static
P0161 fault 4 O2 probe heating behind catalytic converter bank 2 minimum value not reached. Fault present and static
P0140 fault 12 O2 probe post catalyst signal missing. Fault present and static

During this two months (after the first fault) was necessary to do the headgasket replacement and a CKP replacement too, so fist I think that it could be a manifold leak but it looks like more an electrical problem, because all O2 sensors fault at the same time
I already check all earth points including negative cable, the harness is in good condition, I cleaend all connectos, fuse 2 is OK, I replaced both front O2 sensor with two bosch used in good condition and, in the live data, I saw that all sensors was working but, in some moments, the sensors got stuck and then, started working again and all codes comes back. My next step is check the harness between ECM and O2 sensors but, if this is OK, maybe the problem could be the ECM, or not?
