You have clearly never been here or anywhere near the Equator/Tropics

Heat and humidity are one thing, but UV is another. It is on average 80-85 at 80-95% humidity with no wind in the area I live( Kona) with the UV scale at 12-13+ with NO CLOUD COVER. Which means anything in the sun more than about 15-30 minutes is now hot enough to burn your hand, and with the AC cranking full blast, it can take up to 45 minutes to cool the cabin(Especially in a black car)

I'm not sure where you are located, but Latitude and relative sun angle are a major contributing factor to relative heat. The numbers on your thermometer are only 1 piece of that puzzle.

And for the road trip comment, I can often drive 100+ miles round trip on a weekend day to go to my favorite beach/4wd playground, so yes. There is some long seat time as well.

I have also have a 7 seater, but no rear AC. Same dilemma. However, I have not been able to find the parts. This is my alternative for the rear passengers:

I lived in the tropics and can attest to the discomfort of humidity. I hope this may be a temporary solution while you sort out the installation of the rear AC. Good luck.

@Ben Matheson You rock!!!

I'll be providing full photos and a write up when complete, as this is an often discussed topic, but there is no documentation to carry it out
