Default Plastic cover that encloses the air filter?

Replaced my air filter last week. While taking off the black, plastic, cover with three clips that secures it down.......one clip broke. It still looks to be sealed, but I know it's not 100%. So two questions:

1) What is that plastic cover called?
2) How expensive is it and where can I buy one?

I'm afraid to even call Rosenthal Land Rover/Jaguar... they will charge an arm and a leg.

No check engine light on, so that's good. Sensors haven't picked up on it yet.

Thanks guys!

What year is your Disco? The airbox pictured on Ebay is from a DI with the inlet in the front, if yours is a DII it is different with the inlet on the outboard side, coming in from the front wheel well area?

Mine is a DI, a friend has a DII. I noticed the difference in the air inbox when we parked them side by side and did some under the hood comparisons.

I am not sure whether you really need a 100% seal on it anyway, that only lets a little more air in. I don't see how that can be a problem. What do you more experienced guys think?

Stay away from the dealer, there are plenty being parted out that you can pull from and save some money.

You're probably fine, 3 clips should hold it tight. In addition to that eBay link, you can also check out junkyards or Craigslist for someone parting out locally for a replacement...

Man this happens alot on DII's.
The only problem with it not being 100% sealed is that the seal is broken after the air filter, so it will suck in non filtered air, which aint good.
