Default Wheel moldings

How easy do these come off? The dealer told me that they were pressure sensitive? Are they mounted to the wheel well with bolts? I am also thinking about replacing mine and I have a 2004!!!

Is not a case of that, spraying anything out of a can will NEVER be as good / neat as a proper spray gun / compressor applied job, ie body shop / factory etc. Also painting plastic properly is a skillful job and once anything is painted it needs "ideally" to be oven baked so it goes off properly.

this is just my opinion, by all means paint what you like with a can, but it will always look s*h*i*te!!

The trims are self adhesive, so once pulled of they will most likely never go back on as good. The factory "sticky stuff" always seems to be be better / longer lasting than anything you can buy from motor stores, and its always applied in a controlled enviroment which is hard to replicate away from the factory.

Imo, if your going to pull them off, you might as well fit new ones....

I am going to do the paint project this week. Like UP mentioned, there is no way I'm taking them off, i'd rather take the time to tape up the area around it. A loose arch would just look cheesy. I will take pics and do a write up for people who do the project in the future.

Once again, Cam is my hero. You should be able to use painter's masking tape and edge the paper under the trim where it meets paint. Four or five inches of paper/tape should give you enough room to work. I would clean the plastic with alcohol on a rag and use tape to remove any lint. Then, spray away. If you don't like it, then by all means you can purchase the replacement pieces which will then, hmmm, need to be taped on...
