Default Plastidip entire Disco?

I am contemplating an entire vehicle dip, 9 coats, $650 and interested to see if anyone has ventured this path? I am NOT an off roader but use mine as a winter vehicle for work primarily as my C300 hibernates. I am interested in keeping my '03 Disco free of rust however and this makes sense. I will post before and afts once it is completed. Any input obliged !!!

running tests now on different finishes... on one of 18 work trucks. my question was on durability. I am only a month + into the test, but plasti has proved that it can not hold up.
in the running= that rubberized undercoating junk, stone texture paint, and several bedliner products, and variations of mixed fore-mentioned products.

that plastidip will hold up.......if you don't scratch it up. it looks fine but peels like dead skin on a blister, if you abuse it.

Thanks Dusty, I dont plan on going crazy w this vehicle, just northeast snow is all I plan on dealing with so even if it needs to be redone or touched up here and there it will probably hold up....

I was looking into this as an option for changing the color of my D2 a few months ago. After some reading and researching on it, the durability aspect of it is what kept me from going this route. I also looked into covering my motorcycle with it.

The videos look great for the product and make it look like a great deal, but those guys do it all the time and have all of the supplies to keep their cars looking good. Let us know how it holds up. If you have good results, I may keep it as an option.

Will it be the solution the Beluga Black tribe has searched for to deal with our bespeckled roofs?

People seem to think it's way less durable than it actually is. The only way to screw it up is by breaking the seal between paint and dip. Having had my car done twice, I can assure you it's much stronger than you'd think. Here's my car in Gunmetal, and then Satin White Metallic. The car is originally black.

I am sure it holds up, nicely on day to day treks. I have seen cars use it,often. Looks good and seems to be a great option for that type of application. I especially think it is a good choice for roofs and blackouts. I just had trouble with it staying on, my highly abused work wagon. if I scratched it through to the paint (break the seal) it would blister. but it does seem to be a good option for normal streetwear. I'm sorry, wasn't saying it is a bad option, just did not last in a working, off the road type environment.

Oh for sure, I'm not saying it's bedliner! The stuff does rip and peal, I just don't want people thinking it just falls off to the touch.

I should have stated that the test subject can't even get rust to settle in, because the scratches stay so fresh.
