Default Please help Three Amigos

The three amigos are on. I have no squeaking and the ABS is working. I think I have a bad sensor. Anways, I am trying to sell the car. Can the car pass the inspection with the lights on? Someone told me yes. If i need to fix, how much will the dealership charge me? Or from where can I buy a ABS scanner to clear the lights?

Mine passed inspection with the 3 amigos last year. I would not have the dealer install a sensor as it is pretty easy and cheap. Any break shop or mechanic should be able to do it (or you). There is a guy on this site that rents out his ABS Amigo.

anyone know if the 3 amigos will go away automatically if you do the shuttle valve bypass outlined on this site?

If you have the shuttle valve fault, yes it works. Just solder two wires to bypass the shuttle valve circuit board.

If you're talking about just the lamps then, yes, they will go away with the fix. The fault code is still logged until reset with the Amigo or other LR ABS specific code reader.

It is not the cure all for all Amigos, however.

First, don't guess what may be wrong, second, no reason to pay a mechanic to clear the codes without fixing the problem otherwise the lights will come right back.
As for if it will pass a state inspection, in most states it won't, need to check with your state.

alright so I noticed something today. My brakes have been making some noise after I've had the rotors turned (which I now know we shouldn't do), replaced the pads and bled them. Today I noticed that after a short drive three of my rotors are really hot. Any suggestions?
