Poor braking when cold?
Like the title suggests, my '00 Disco II's brakes are pathetic when the truck is cold. When I'm backing down my driveway first thing in the morning (it's on a slope), I really have to mash the pedal to get any amount of braking out of it. It almost feels like there's no power brakes.
Once driven for a few minutes however, they're fine. In fact, the brakes on my Disco are better than any other vehicle I've ever driven-- when it comes to stopping power [when warm] and pedal feel. So I think it's fair to say the brakes themselves are okay? There is at least 5/16" (or more) pad material remaining on all four corners.
Any idea what could be causing the poor braking when cold / first started? I'm stumped.
