Portland snow
I think that driving through snow offers an opportunity to really put your ABS and TC to the test. My D2 stops very nicely in the snow, feeling the pedal kicking back. As I drive through patchy ice and snow, the TC kicks in, and keeps me in line. But...................it would be nice if Land Rover spent some money on heated side mirrors, as I can't use them because of ice build up. What would I have to do to give them some warmth, besides a bucket of water??
You could option them with heated side mirrors. Perhaps that might be your next upgrade?

Cold weather package trucks have heated side mirrors, I know mine does. I can see the steam coming off them. This only works when using the "defrost" button on the HVAC head unit... third from left on bottom row between auto and recirculate.

What else does the cold weather package include? I just bought my first Disco and it has a heated windshield. I wander if it has heated mirrors as well?
I'm in Portland as well and had the Disco out Rovering around SE part of town today, picked up a load of firewood, a Subaru tire and scored some sleds at the local hardware store. Disco's fun in the snow isn't it?
My 2000's mirrors are heated, I was surprised that they both cleared and steamed after awhile. "Electrically adjusted heated door mirrors" is standard (at least it was on whatever variant I have).

I have the SD model. And, I have the heated rear window. That's it. So, I would need new side mirrors wired into my defogger?? I have no heated seats or front windscreen. Just my hot breath fogging up the glass. And yeah, I was wheeling around s.e. Portland, too
I sat in my rover for a good 20 minutes with my defogger button activated. Red light on, but nobody home!! Rear was trying to melt 1/2 inch thick ice on rear glass. But nothing on side mirrors. No steam. No nothing, but useless bags-o-ice! When I pressed button to turn off defogger, I did hear a faint "click" near the left side of my steering wheel. What's it all about, man??
