Possible great deal - Chicago area

I came across this last night, happened to get my 01 Disco from same dealer in October. They are a small family biz w/ very little knowledge of Land Rovers. They had mine listed with 148000 miles for the exact same price, said I would come down with 6k, ended up paying 5500. I later found out that the trip odometer was reading KM not miles, so when I toggled it back to miles it really only had 92k miles so I think I got a decent deal. But I have learned everything about it after the purchase, as they knew nothing about it! They couldnt even flip the jump seats up in back, I figured it out myself when I got home. I have definately done my time on it and more to come, but Im still way ahead with the actual mileage. I guess I am curious if lightning can strike twice at the same dealership and the 114000 is KM and there is actually 68k miles - and you could talk them down to 5k or 5500??? If I was closer I would check it out myself - if you are in the area I highly recomend checking it out, very nice guys and easy to deal with, I think I could have offered even less than the 5500 and they would have taken it - they jumped on the offer immediately.

BikeG976 I think you got a great deal on yours and this sounds just as sweet, I acquired my 01 with 96k on her for 5500 cash from a private sale NW of Chicago. I think a person can trek to chicago and buy disco's fairly cheap all day long especially with all the LR3's running around that town. Thanks for sharing the info about this vehicle... I also noticed on Craigslist in the Crown Point area ( search chicago to find her ) there is a sweet 1995 RR country LWB dark green for 2k if anyone is interesed... I would go get it but the wife says 2 disco's are enough for now... ha ha
