Default possible transmission problems

So this is my second disco 2. I got this one knowing it could have problems and willing to fix them. Its a 2000 discovery 2 with 112000 miles Well when I got her the ace light was on and it was loud from some kind of exhaust leak but no service engine light or codes. I went to a local auto parts store to find the power steering fluid and additive I could use for the ace and as soon as I got in the parking lot the transmission slipped twice and clunked loud and there was fluid under the front drivers side. The guys at the auto parts couldnt tell if it was transmission fluid or power steering and the power steering and ace reservoirs were empty. Now I am wondering is my transmission shot or could it be something else. As soon as I get her towed home im going to do the stall test I read on here. Any other advice would be appreciated. I am a computer programmer and new to working on cars but im a quick learner and have buddies to help that know cars better. Also It hasnt thrown any service engine codes yet
