Potential buy...Any thoughts?
thanks guys...couple things
the warranty is a drivetrain warranty that is effective as long as i keep up with scheduled service...how important is that?...also the tires have 75% life left and the oil was just changed, so why do i need to spend 100$ as a previous poster stated for new oil?...curious
as for having it looked at prior to purchase...
do you mean an independant LR Dealership?...or just a private mechanic?...the problem is this truck is an hr away from my home and my mechanic who I trust...i cant ask to drive the truck that far so I'm not sure how to handle the whole "inspecting it" process...I feel as though I have to take this private dealerships word on it...
as for it being $2K overpriced? that seems a bit of a stretch no?...if all looked good I would throw a bone at 5800 and see what happened, but KBB still lists in the 9k range...let me know what you think...
thanks again

Last thing you want to do dude. Check with your mechanic, see if he'll ride up there with you one day, of course for some money. Even if you can't get him to check it out, still have a local mechanic check it out. That's a mistake I made before, "trusting" a complete strangers word.
