Need to add some power steering fluid to my 99 Disco 1 and was wondering what power steering fluid to put in? Can I put in atf? If so which one is recommended? Otherwise I read somewhere else that I should use a green p/s fluid that can be bought from any GM dealer as its the same stuff sold by LR dealers. Just wanted a definite answer. Thanks.

 

If you don't remember ever changing the fluid, you should plan on flushing out all the old fluid first to help maintain the pump and gear box.
Best fluid to use is Vavoline's synthetic p/s fluid. If you want to learn how to flush it out send me your tele number and I'll walk you thru it.
