Default Power steering hose problem

My ‘04 S has had a power steering hose leak for a while so I decided to finally change all of them. I ordered a full set from Atlantic British and ran into an issue with the hose that runs from the steering box to the reservoir. The hose they supplied has a different metal end on it, and it won’t seat correctly into the steering box. There is a metal piece that bolts down over the flange and seals it; the replacement has a larger flange, so it won’t seal correctly.

The original hose part number is QEP105510; the replacement is the same with an X on the end. Atlantic British is telling me there’s no difference and that any hose they send me will be the same (I’m on my second hose with them...). Has anyone else had this issue? I’ve attached a picture of the original (black) hose next to the replacement so you can see the difference.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

It looks different to me. I would get a set of calipers and send them the actual dimensions of the two different parts so you have something quantitative. Telling it's too big or it doesn't fit may not sufficiently motivate them to recognize the problem.

I sent them the same picture, which shows it pretty clearly has a different flange...
