Power steering issue
This has probably been covered in a thread already but I couldn’t find it. My 2000 D2 with 78k miles is having steering issues. When I got it the pump was making noise so I replaced it with a new pump, no change. The fluid in both the steering and the ACE pump are moving like they should when the vehicle is running. I took it on a 150 mile run today and about 15 miles before home made a beer stop. As I was pulling into the corner store parking it became very hard to steer. I popped the hood and checked for problems. The fluid was moving like normal and there were no leaks. As I was leaving the store I noticed the steering was easier as the RPMs increased. Any suggestions. Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what fluid is compatable but look up Land Rover ACE hydraulic oil. Last time I messed with it, I lifted the front axle and ran it off the ground for awhile going left and right. There is a function using a scanner to activate the system to push air out. You might need a Land Rover shop if you can't get it to burp.
