Default Power steering leaks questions

What should one look for when D1 shopping and several of the sellers describe "power steering fluid leak"? What to look for to narrow down possible repair costs, as well as what those could be parts+labor for pump, hoses, rack?

Default RE: Power steering leaks questions

Lucas is a good way to go if you are talking about a minor leak, if you are dripping, you should pull your fan shroud off, degrease the front od the engine and power scrub it at the car wash, then you can see what is leaking.
You may need to replace your hoses, the pump or the gear box.
Here is a good site for used pumps and gear boxes. http://www.roverlandparts.com/index....TS&Category=44
If you need hoses, buy new one.
