Default Power steering pulley HELP PLEASE

I got a new power steering pump installed on friday, I started the disco today for the first time since I picked it up from the repair shop and the belt snapped, I bought a new one and a mechanic friend of mine rushed right over to install it but noticed the power steering pump pulley is sticking out more than the others causing it to slip off. I do not own a second car and need to get to work in the AM. Is there anything I can do to make it in-line?

So, have the shop that installed it pay for the repair.

I can only think of one thing - they flipped the pulley backward when they installed it. I believe this would push it forward.

If I'm right, you'd have to break the three 10mm pulley bolts loose but don't remove them, then pull the belt, then remove the screws and flip the pulley. Reinstall the screws, finger tighten them, replace the belt, and tighten them as much as possible with a wrench.

Well, thank you.

I have the advantage of having replaced my pump two weeks ago, so I had to consider these things at the time.

I would still send it back to the shop, let them pay to tow and fix it. If was installed wrong and they won't fix it for free, if you paid with a credit card, stop payment on them till it is fixed.
