Default Power Steering Pump Assembly

I need to replace my power steering pump assembly ( and hoses.) Is there any difference between the parts available from Atlantic British and ACDelco? ACDelco parts are 1/3rd the cost. Anyone have experience?

The last one I bought was painted black and had a yellow stamp on the back. Paid $10.

Everytime I find a fairly new ps pump I take the back off and seal it with some ultra black. Never leaks

I’m trying to save money on replacing the pump. It’s suggested to replace the hoses as well. Can I skip replacing any of these three hoses to save some money?

I dont replace mine when I change my pump. But, I do have a long roll of metal braided, 5000 psi hydraulic hose that I put in place of the factory lines.

If you plan on replacing the power steering hoses, don't buy the URO hoses. From my experience working on LR, BMW and VW, URO are crap just like their coolant hoses.

i bought a cardone pump off rock auto, best seller, with a new low pressure reservoir hose. Total cost around $215 with shipping. Then if you return the core you get $60 back. Just installed it and flushed, so far so good. Here’s a video I did when I was rebuilding my old pump in case you need instruction:

If you rebuild the old pump...watch how hard you tighten the bolts. Too tight and you will lock the pump and it wont move.
