Also - check that your a/c condenser cooling fan is working okay, they tend to fail. I just noticed that the fuse to mine was blown when I was in the fuse box recently.

I'll make that change soon. I Just did the 5w40 about a 1000 miles ago. Am I risking anything by keepin it in there until my next change in 2k

No, not at all.
You could use that if you wanted but your engine will be happier with the 15w-40.
