ok thanks i guess thats a relief im running 10w in it but another guy told me to run rotella 15 40 what do yall suggest???? thanks

do you mean 10W40? I wouldn't switch to 15W40. Get your pressure tested again. Just because you aren't in the range doesn't mean your oil pump is good.

Default Proper Oil pressure

Can anyone tell me the proper oil pressure for the 4.6 motor at a cold start and at a 2000 rpm idle for an 03 disco II thanks a bunch

There is not really much of a difference between 15w40 and 10w40 besides 15w40 in general being better tougher oils that shear less (less viscosity improvers needed). They are the same viscosity at operating temps and not that different at startup temps.

As far as cold idle pressure someone can double check me but 15psi is fine. I am getting all my oil pressure and temp gauges tomorrow so I will see for myself.

2K is in the 40's I think around 20 at idle when hot...
