Problem starting new engine.
I just finished installing a Cannibal engine and I went to try and start it up for the first time and it won't crank. I have a new battery so I know it's got power. I did notice when I hit the unlock button a red light flashes on the gauge cluster then when I try to crank it
And for what it's worth I have never driven this truck, I purchased it with a thrown rod

It takes a few minutes for the IDM and the BCU and the ECM to all start talking to each other after the battery has been out.
Roll the window down (so you don't accidentally get locked out) close the door and let it sit for 15 minutes or so. Then lock and unlock the door with the remote or the key and see if it will start.

Thanks jafir, I was able to crank on it for a few different times with no success on starting. It appears im not getting power from my cool packs. These are brand new packs I got from lucky 8, I pulled the closest to radiator spark plug wire from each side and got no spark when cranking on the engine. Any thoughts?
Both crank and camshaft position sensors should be plugged in. I will double check in the morning but I remember doing them. Im thinking I missed attaching some ground wire during the engine install. I just find it hard to believe that both new coil packs are faulty.
Well I still can't get any spark to the spark plugs. Took the plenum and I had missed the ground wire that bolts into the back of the head. So I attached it and put everything back together. And still no spark. Both crankshaft and camshaft sensors are plugged in. The only think I can figure is maybe I used too much dielectric greese but I didn't use much. I'm kinda at a loss of what it could be.
lol, it's not horrible but I wouldn't do it again. I'm annoyed about the coil packs I got new ones so I wouldn't have to **** with them and here I am tear down the plenum over and over haha
Thanks dusty I will give it a lot tomorrow. I wasn't sure which fuse went to that so I will swap it out tomorrow. I hope that's it.
