Default Prop Shaft mystery

Ok guys, I need some help on this one. I have a 99 Disco II with 60k on it. I recently had the front shaft rebuilt. It resulted in a vibration, per everyone's advice I took it back to have it looked at. They took the shaft out and said the centering ball (precision) was bad. Just to be sure the didnt have it 180 out they took it apart again and reinstalled it and it was worse!

Being Friday at 5 they could do no more, I ordered a replacement centering ball and made an appointment for Monday. So I got in my vibrating (badly) truck and headed home. I live 5 miles in 30-40 mph traffic and it shook like crazy 3/4 of the way home and poof, yes poof it stopped, I stopped at a light, took off and it was gone???? What is going on?

Maybe a weight in the wrong place was thrown?
Sounds weird to me.

You sure you weren't dragging one of the mechanics from the shop?

Maybe some grease slipped into the right place when you hit a bump? How much did they charge you for the rebuild? Were they going to fix it for free since they didn't do it right the first time?

They charged 140 for the rebuild I provided the precision ujoints and centering ball. They did offer to replace the defective part. Its bizarre. I could hear it clunking and vibrating one minute and then it was gone. I have driven it about 30 miles today and its 100 percent fine. So, now, do I have them replace it or leave it alone?
