pros and cons

RE: pros and cons
Hearing that people are scared to drive their Rovers on a daily basis is asinine.
Mine is my daily driver and I wouldn't have it any other way. I agree with Mike on maybe trying to find a DII.
It sounds like price is a big issue. If this is so, owning a high mileage Disco may not be for you.

Maybe you guys can help me. I am looking at buying a D1 but i hear alot of bad things about them, I can't figure out if only the unhappy people complain about them or if they are as much of a headache as they sound like they might be, any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Most people that one are not selling and the ones that are
are most likely in need of some major work.
The newest Disco I is now 9 years old and the oldest Disco II
is now 9 years old.
Disco II's go for $4k to $16k the newest Disco II is now
four years old and coming off lease.
I have seen the LR3's selling for $22k to $24k that started
a $45k and up.
Be honest with yourself and what you need not what you
want and that will tell you what to get.

thanks for all of the input guys, you have all given me alot more to digest before making a decision, however my gut is telling me to go with the D1. I'll let you know what comes of it.

I can get by with out the goodies on the Disco II's its
just less to go wrong and easier to work on for me.
I will always have my Disco I's but I can see a LR3 or RR
afew years from now 2011 and we get Diesels.
