I just ordered a used OEM one off eBay to get by until I sort out a more long term solution. Carrs4x4 is coming out with a version 2.0 of their aluminum one, and also weighing the Allisport one too. TBD.

Everything except OEM = China these days. People swear to me no Stant is Stant, Gates is Gates, and Dayco is Dayco. At the end of the day it's maybe a different grade part off the same assembly line just in a different box.

I haven't bought a lot of parts since Britpart took over Allmakes4x4, but the stuff I've had from Allmakes4x4 from nearly 8 years ago was bad enough to avoid them like the plague. Brand new timing gear sets made completely wrong, or seals that didn't even fit properly. Britpart had that great black thermostat which I installed a ton of back in the day with not one issue. Then their supplier changed and those went to crap real fast. URO wise that fan blade that exploded in my face = not good at all..... That online retailer never even contacted me back....

None yet, just emailing them about it over the last couple months.

Duralast radiator cap #7520

My Carrs4x4 unit will blow coolant past the cap seal. I asked them for help to ID a replacement cap and that's the model. It's better but still lets a little coolant past occasionally.

Thanks for the part number gecko951. FCPEuro has a lifetime warranty on their parts so that seems like a no brainer to me. Not that we like doing the same job twice, but not having to pay for the replacement parts has its merits in these dark days.

Default Investigate why

If you keep blowing expansion tanks, you need to take a deeper look as to why. I went through 3 before building my own from .060 and a billet cap which also failed before building a tougher one out of .080 aluminum, which held until it was no longer the weak link and the head gasket blew....again. The real reason is cylinder leakage, blow by pressure from compression. These motors are notorious for cracked cylinders, slipped cylinders and cracked blocks. This leads to excessive pressure in the cooling system. Won't matter how thick a tank is if you have cracks in the walls.
