my buddy needs help. we're trying to pull the rear flange off the third member in order to install the correct 4 bolt flange for a range rover classic. we've tried a bunch of thing and still unable to pull the flange. last thing we tried is a slide hammer on the imput shaft and the plug wont budge...

and help would be appreciated

 

its a dI third member with the three bolt rotoflex flange

 

Problem was solved, after a slide hammer failed a 5/8" steel rod "T" shape was welded to the plug, and rover bottle jacks were used to force the plug out.
