I want to replace most of the leaky seals and front output bearing.

I figure my order of operations is pull the interior and disconnect the cdl, then pull the frame supports and y pipe, disconnect the driveshafts and then remove the bolts holding it to the transmission.

Am I missing anything? Is it impossible to pull the flanges from the t-case when its on a table?

 

I've pulled flanges off an LT230 when it was on a shelf, no worries.

 

Good to hear. Are there any tricks to the case? Any snake oils I should get before pulling it apart?

If its as easy as the engine I won't have any issues.

 

Make sure you drain it first


Be careful when refitting, it's easier than you think to break off part of the tranny...

Are there any special tools needed for disassembly/reassembly of the case or can it be overhauled with the basics?

I did mine last month, and I made a little stand that bolts under the lower cover so that I could lift it with a motorcycle jack. I saw that in the Rave and I thought it was a good idea. The LT230 is a pretty big and heavy case, and while removing it is not too bad, I would say it must be pretty hard to put it back on without damaging the new seal, depending on your setup. Having the case on a jack allows you to lower it slowly and see if there are still things attached to it.
