Well I'm going to try to replace the bearing with the t-case in the truck. Waiting on my buddy to get here with the gear puller for the flange.

Also beyond all reasonable doubt, the nut on both sides of the t-case is 29mm

Ok I have the flange, seal, and snap ring off. I read that this shaft with the bearing should just come out. I have both the tranny and t-case in neutral.

Is this not true or is there more to it?

First Update, I found this lovely thing that is a little bit more specific than the RAVE

http://www.landroverresource.com/doc...Box_Manual.pdf

Second, turns out the bearing was ok. My transmission mounts were destroyed (despite being like 1 year old) and are most likely causing the vibration.

Third, the good news is I didn't have to pull the T-Box to replace the front output seal and the inspection plate seal.

Right now I have a nasty leak coming from the inspection plate for the CDL and with the way it is installed, I don't think I can get the bolts off with the transmission where it is. Might still need to drop the box.

Or use a car floor jack with wheels?
Like for putting in a transmission?
