Check the accessory belt routing, it is very easy to put it on wrong but it looks right.

Ok, sounds like maybe your 2 mis fires are shorting out to the block and the big electrical drain is causing the pulsing.
Go around and check and make sure that all of your plug wires are seated properly to the plugs and the coil's.
Then go and have your battery and alternator tested.
Let us know what you find. You might need new plug wires.

I had the pulsing lights issue too on my rover (96) because I was strapped for cash and I was bored one day I tore that alternator off and took off the plastic back to expose the brushes/regulator etc I cleaned everything up really good and sanded/ dielectric greased all connections from the alternator. Now the lights do NOT pulse and I didnt have to shell out the bucks for another alt...yet.
