2 questions: I'm going to replace my T-stat this weekend. AB has 2 types- OEM and aftermarket, with a $7 price difference. Is it best to go with the OEM, or is the aftermarket just as good? Second, my buddy just bought a 2001 D2 2 weeks ago. I was going to buy him either cupholders (the type that attach to the center console, not the in-dash) or D1 wiper arms. Roversnorth has a good deal on aftermarket D1 arms with wiper blades and caps, and AB has the OEM arms with caps and blades for a few pesos more. Are the aftermarkets as good/better than the OEM, or is it best to just get the OEM and pay the extra money. I don't want to get him something used, so I'm not going to pick and pull from the boneyard. Thanks in advance.

 

OEM for bud debt of honor, and OEM for stat, there have been reports af aftermarket not opening at correct temp (just keeps cookin').

 

I've got the roversnorth aftermarket arms. Work fine. Check with PTSchram. I think he sells the aftermarket arms too.
