Default Question about connecting a temp reader

Quick Q? I bought a cheapo digital temp reader the plugs into 12v power and connects to its own temp sensor that you splice into a coolant hose. Question is can I skip there sensor and wire into the oem temp sensor wiring to get a digital reading?

Or a cheap ELM 327 bluetooth reader and torque for your cell phone

I don't think you can. Better off to get the housing that holds the new sensor that came with the gauge. Cut the hose and insert the housing. The size you need is 32mm.

You're overthinking this, in my opinion. Just do as either Extinct or Richard Gallant suggested and get an Ultragauge or an ELM 327 adapter and download an app for your phone.
