If its not broke, don't fix it -- I'm with Alex on this one!

I still find it hard to believe that TB's can freeze -- I have never heard of this on any other car.. Sticking / gummed up sure, but not actual freezing.

Yep I was shocked at how those two throttle bodies I had looked perfectly clean & still stuck when held at WOT & released. When I mean stuck I mean it took a screw driver on the linkage to pop it free. It’ll require the TB to be removed, but I strongly suggest pinching the 3 flat head screws at the back (not all the way together so you can spread them back when you are done), remove the 3 flat head screws that hold the throttle plate on, then slide the plate itself out (noting it’s OEM position), then using a scotchbrite pad clean the outer edge of it all the way around until it’s nice and smooth. Then use the scotchbrite pad on the TB itself. Re-install the plate, install the 3 flat head screws, and then spread them back open so they won’t come loose. Your TB should operate like new and not stick at all!!

I had two that were horrible & after that proceedure they are flawless. I think a lot of the “sticking” or “frozen” TB’s are in fact from the outer edge of the throttle body plate being rough/dirty vs having anything to do with the TBH. Both the TB’s I had looked perfectly clean after I sprayed them down, but that obviously wasn’t enough!
