Dillion,
What are you planning on doing with your truck when lifted, what size tires are you planning?
You will be better of staying at 3"s, 4's will require you do make drive line changes as well as front radius correctiond, now you are getting into the big money.

I am relatively new to the LR scene, too. I have a '99 DII and have just ordered the RoverTym 3 inch kit (www.rovertym.com).

There are a few other kits you can look at, OME (Old Man Emu) makes springs and dampers/shocks(they probably OEM them from somebody), RoverTym makes springs and linkages but uses other dampers (Rancho, Bilstien, Fox, etc). I am sure there are many more, but these seem to be the big players. You can get Koni dampers (mmmmm.... Koni). Most spring makers have various "load" ratings for different uses (heavy duty, standard, etc).

3 inches seems to be the practical limit; above that, you start to have to upgrade drivetrain and the cost skyrockets. Remember the DII has wider fenders and you can fit a larger tire than a DI with the same size lift. 3 inches will allow pretty big tires on a DII.
