Default Question:Top radiator hose

I drained and flushed my coolant on my 2000 Disco II yesterday. While I was bleeding the air out of the system I snapped that plastic screw off that is on the top radiator hose (not the bleeder screw on the 'T'). I ordered a new hose assembly and thermostat and it shipped today. In the meantime while I wait for UPS to show up I have a question.

Does anyone know the thread size for this screw?

Thanks,
Scott

What plastic screw do you speak of if it is not the plastic bleeder screw? Do you have the old style top radiator hose? Just find a big wood screw and use a lot of RTV to seal it.

I have no idea what 'style' it is? I just bought this thing a week ago and it's my first Land Rover. But ya....the screw is on the top radiator hose.

There are 2 styles of upper radiator hoses, do you have the first one or the second?

I have the first one, the one with the green paint mark. Is that the old style? Second photo down.
