Default Question whether TDI has same Cr.S. pulley as gas model

Not sure if anyone can help as I know that the TDI engines are not sold in the USA market. I am going to replace my leaking front crank seal in the front cover and will need to remove the main pulley. Land Rover specifies a LST 12-280 which attaches to the front of the pulley and bolts in place so you can loosen the nut. I found one on ebay for the 200-300 TDI engines but am not sure if it is the same size pulley. I would think it is, there is no reason it needs to be different.

Yes, there are some other less safe methods for loosening the big nut but I like to use the tools designed for the job.

Hi Chris, RAVE shows part Nē. LRT 12-080 (my copy is the US RAVE) and I know this is a UK ebay listing Land Rover 300Tdi, 200Tdi / Jaguar Crank Locking tool (LRT 12 080) (VS4985) | eBay but it shows the tool you speak of @ $91.80. I even adapted one to fit my LR3 V8.
