Autozone Duralast ratchets and sockets are hands down the best deal going now for import tools. Since I've made the original post I've replaced my HF hand tools with american tools (wright, proto, snap on, williams, SK some craftsman). Though I still use my HF 3/4" drive socket set (hard to mess up a 3/4" socket), 3/4" drive torque wrench, hex sockets, and pullers.

HF is slowly raising their tool quality and their prices. I also have a HF 3 ton jack and 6 ton jack stands that are great also have halogen sniffer that works great, AC manifold gauges, vacuum pump, air compressor and earthquake air tools.

 

My brother-in-laws are contractors and they hit HF like locusts on a corn field every time they visit. To date I have yet to here of anything they bought failing. In fact, they have replaced some of their broken more expensive tool (e.g Bostich nail guns) with the HF equivalents.
