I have a DII and i have the chance to get a DI safari rack... Would that work on a DII?? Anyone running one now?

The D1 rack will be short but if its free I'd do it. I don't think there are any issues other than cosmetic. I'm sure others will confirm or correct.

 

Do you know the difference in length??

 

Read his lips, too short to be noticable.

Well i dont know if that response was warranted? The reason i ask, is that i just got off the phone with Rover Racks and they said that the DI racks mounting brackets will wreck the gutters on a DII?? Is this true? Or was he trying to make a sale? The difference in length is eight inches FYI. The rack is 250$

 

Price is great, never heard that bracket story before and the price is great.

 

I have no idea if the rack will fit or not, I just wanted to say that sounds like something a salesman would say just to make a sale, good luck with the rack that's a great price.
