Default Radiator R&R

My coolant reservoir/overflow tank plastic line nipple snapped of the radiator on the drivers side. While waiting for my new Nissens radiator to get delivered, I was reading up different threads on the forum AND looking at the Rave to see how I wanted to tackle the job. I decided to go the route of removing the battery tray and air box to gain access to both lower sides of the radiator and get to the oil coolers. I decided to remove the fan and get the lower shroud out of the way also. It took some time to get the Phillips head screws out of the oil cooler mounts and one each side for the large plastic radiator mounts, it was tight, I had to use a #3 bit with a 1/4" box end wrench to turn the drivers side oil cooler screw out, but the others I was able to use a shorty Phillips screw driver, you can rock the whole radiator assembly back towards the engine to give yourself a little more room without disturbing the oil cooler lines too much. The key I find with jobs like this, or any Rover related job, is to take your time, and don't force anything. It went back together great, I removed the plastic coolant line running from the radiator to the expansion tank and put in 5/16" rubber line, The plastic line was about to rub through where it clips into the battery box! I ran the new rubber fuel line straight back off the radiator around to the fire wall then over to the tank. It shouldn't be in the way of possible future engine work...I'm not sure if this procedure saves anytime vs. how the Rave says to do the job, but I just didn't feel like dismantling my front end. Either way, it's going to take a few hours for most shade tree mechanics.
