JUST GOT MY FIRST 2003 DISCO 2 but come to find out the person who had this unit had took the factory radio out and put an after market one in and then cut the harness to the factory amp under the seat and has the wiring all botched up any help would be sweet i know this is going to be a project

So the PO cut the harness? There are multiple harnesses I believe, but they are all color coded, so if you could get another harness from a junk yard, you could just solder then back together. Honestly though, the stock system sucks, and you can't add any aux input, so I would reccomend finding an aftermarket head unit that you like and stick it in. I replaced my stock deck with an Alpine, and am very happy!

 

this is what I would do. then pick up a stock radio via Ebay.

 

I have a aftermarket radio a kenwood kdc-x591 but i found the connector to the factory amp in a junk yard i connected it and now there is now anything coming out my speakers i followed the color codes but nothing not even a pop what can i do i like the raido but i cant stand not having music in my truck

 

Download the RAVE, with electrical manual for complete wiring diagrams in color, pin outs and locations of all connectors and headers.
