Default Radio frozen! bought new one.. same problem Need help

Hello All I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE and am having a problem with the radio. The original radio would go on light up and go to a radio station and display the radio stations name but would NOT produce sound and if you hit any of the buttons nothing would happen. It would not go on and off. It would not change stations or source and you could not adjust the volume(it would be silent). We thought it was the radio so I purchased a radio and am having the same problem! Anyone have any suggestions?

I know exactly what your problem is I think. You have two subs in the rear with an tiny amp enclose behind to power those. Now under the passenger side dash you have another main amp which is easy to get to and that is your problem I think. You blew a fuse for the amp and all you have to do it replace it. If you do have the subs in the rear you should be getting faint noise from them still because of the way its wires. Do a search and you will find a thread where this happened to myself and someone else. Good Luck.
