RANT bought scanner Creader Elite Launch LandRover
UPDATE. So my rant was premature (mostly). This unit will diagnose/clear abs issues without any additional funding at least for a year. I can't bleed the abs through the unit without additional charges though. Also about the privacy concerns, I haven't and will not pass this unit through my phone but I did update it through my work laptop.
arrived today. I read the manual (which I was surprised it came with). First, its still updating...just crossed the 1 hour mark. Also, I bought this one specifically because it said that it could scan the ABS...it looks like that might only be with an Upgrade. (probably means more money). I had sent the company an email asking if it would, and they replied yes it would, so i ordered it. Technically that's correct...but it looks like only after buying the unit then downloading (still downloading) over an hour then perhaps having to buy more crap. The manual is vague but does say that OBD2 scanning is "free" (how? I just paid about $200) forever, but upgrades are annual renewal. I asked..I studied..I contacted people....I hate Fxxxing Chinese cons. This is unit number 3 that states it will but probably wont unless I get permanently financially tied to these fxxx wads. 1.5 hours BTW...still downloading.
please correct me if im being and a$$. just getting frustrated

The first half of this video seems relevant since that is also a cheap android based Chinese device.
How much did that thing set you back?
Edit: I see you said around $200. iCarsoft scanner is just over $100 and can do ABS codes.
