rocketships.....hilarious. i would have that same problem with my friends...especially sitting back there with a huge ceiling to draw on.

does the headliner come out? like there is a separate piece that the fabric attaches to that comes out also? So i can pull the whole thing down? other cars i'm familiar with just have metal and some cloth or whatever....

has anyone taken the headliner out of a D2? I know Josh you have. I was lookin at the rear dome light. How does that come out? I pulled the little clip out and saw access to the wiring.. i should take another look to be honest i only looked a minute before some crazy police scene was set up in front of my house for a fight...

I just did mine last weekend. The rear light is held in place by two small nuts, the threaded bolts are attached to the roof. They are 5mm or so. They one that is a little hard to get out is the middle light, mine was stuck. I buggered up the plastic housing a little, can't see it when I am driving.........Taking is out was a piece of cake. When I took it to the shop to have it recovered and replaced, the woman gasped. She said that I didn't need to take out all of the plastic around the back. Frankly, I am not sure how it would have come out otherwise. It did give me a chance to clean up behind all of the parts, there was a fair amount ot dirt and dust. good luck. Phil

The only problem I found on the D2, is above the center domelight or rear sunroof
switch, there is a screw that holds the whole liner to the roof. Not easy to get at and a
%$$@ to put back in!

About how long does it take to pull out and put back in on a D2? Not including the time needed to do whatever it is you want to do with it once it is out. I was thinking of doing leds and crap so it would light up like cash cab anytime someone new got in....
